Videography Course Students Portfolio:

Across two days, each student composed, filmed, and edited a full live performance of ‘Tempest’ by the local band Yungold. The students were provided with cameras if they had not bought their own, and the footage was combined into a project folder for each student to use for editing.

At the end of the course, every student had their own edited version of the live performance.

As course creator, I worked to make sure each student understood their equipment, and the reasons behind our composition/set-up.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with each student, both on an individual and group basis. The course, despite being a beginners course, required a great deal of teaching to achieve a full live session. This meant I was constantly vigilant of each student to make sure they were keeping up with the course.

This two day course focused on photographing a live band. This course was aimed at beginners. Much like the videography course, I thought it would be more beneficial for students to bring their own cameras, in hopes that the course would be more productive after the fact. This meant I had to study each new piece of equipment, before teaching the student how to use it. This included a unique prototype camera from Samyang, which was an enjoyable learning experience.

The photos in this section are from a number of the students, and I’m very proud of what they achieved in such a short time

12 – 16 Content Creation Course:

My one day workshop focused on providing a fun, yet engaging workshop that introduced the students to content creation from a different perspective.

I wanted to achieve three goals with this course. Firstly, I wanted to inspire the students by making a fun video together, in hopes that content creation becomes something they wish to pursue in the future. Secondly, I wanted to demonstrate the professional side of social media content creation, demonstrating that it’s a viable career option. Finally, I wanted to open the door to filming more cinematically, so the students can bring their visions to life.
