Photography Portfolio:
A Modern Japanese Restaurant
While at Bao To The Broth I acted as Social Media Manager and Photographer/Videographer.
Bao To The Broth was an interesting project. Bao wanted to remain friendly and down to earth while still presenting their brand as a professional setting. Working in the food industry requires a level of professionalism, especially considering food handling and hygiene standards. Finding this balance in social media required a lot of creativity and testing.
Meet The Team:
Meet The Team consisted as a tounge in cheek parody of your usual meet the teams. I polled each member of the team and wrote out a comedic piece under each of their posts.
On the right you’ll see an example of one of the many “Meet The Teams” I did for the company, with the flavour text below:
“When Ben isn’t settling legal matters on the moon, he’s owner, manager and chef at Bao to the Broth.
He’s a big fan of @_burger__shop , so much so that it’s his recommendation for his favourite dish on Bao’s menu (despite us not selling it 🤦♂️). Head over to Aubrey street in Hereford and grab a burger, they’re great!
He likes a @kirinichibanuk from the bar, preferably a full keg but I don’t have a photo for that so 🤷♂️
When asked for a quote for this post he wrote:
“Thought this was a good idea… Should’ve stayed at Tesco’s.””
Sake Posts:
I also advertised certain products in series. To your right you’ll see an example of the Sake Posts I photographed and promoted on the Instagram:
These posts were defined by a more modern style that intergrated with the style
Videography:
I made a collection of videos for Bao To The Broth, ranging from Instagram Reels to Trailers and Quick Edits. Here is a collection of my work:
